Who is The Old Gray Moose?
The Old Gray Moose is the pen name of Rev. Ana Rivera-Georgescu ✝️—an ordained Episcopal priest, author, and Board-Certified Clinical Chaplain with over 11 years of experience in correctional, hospital, and mental health chaplaincy, as well as parish ministry. She previously served as a New York City Police Officer and Correctional Officer in a Male Maximum Security Facility, giving her firsthand insight into the front-line realities that shape her devotionals for chaplains, officers, and others serving in high-stress environments. Her writing draws deeply from these front-line pastoral experiences, offering spiritual strength and sacred encouragement to those navigating crisis, transition, or sorrow.
